Burns is thrilled to welcome Peter Aarons as Vice President, Western Region. Peter is another remarkable addition to our executive leadership team. A recognized aviation leader and trusted advisor, Peter has over 25 years of experience in airport infrastructure and management. His background as an owner, consultant, and integrator brings tremendous breadth of knowledge to our team. Peter has held leadership positions at several large consulting firms. On the owner side, he served as San Diego County Regional Airport Authority’s Program Manager and Deputy Director for their $1.2 billion terminal development program at San Diego International Airport. He also held a leadership position with the San Francisco International Airport Commission. In addition, Peter worked for one of the industry’s leading providers of information and communication technology solutions for the air transport industry.

In his role, Peter will accelerate Burns’ growth in the Western US, and will be based in our Los Angeles office. Under his leadership, our team will continue to strengthen its transportation infrastructure expertise, providing highly-technical, sought-after engineering expertise to new and existing clients on the west coast. “As a seasoned, well-respected airport professional, Peter will help ramp up our growing Western US aviation practice and better serve our existing clients,” said Brian Phillips, PE, Vice President and Aviation Group Leader. “Peter brings experience, tremendous leadership skills, and a knack for securing the trusted advisor role with his clients. He is a tremendous addition to our rapidly growing aviation team, and we are so happy to have him.”
