Airport merchants and restaurants seek products made in Philly

PHILADELPHIA — Sept. 2, 2025 — Philadelphia-area product makers will soon have the chance to take their businesses to new heights at the first-ever Buy Philadelphia Fair. This business-to-business networking event will allow local entrepreneurs to connect face-to-face with airport retailers and restaurateurs seeking local products to feature on store shelves and menus at PHL.

MarketPlace PHL, the team managing the concessions program at PHL, will host its first-ever Buy Philadelphia Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 30. Approved businesses will be invited to attend personalized sessions with airport buyers; details regarding time and location will be shared upon selection.

This one-day business networking event is designed to directly introduce qualified local and regional businesses to decision-makers from PHL’s award-winning retail and dining program, PHL Food & Shops, offering a chance for exceptional select products to be sold at airport retailers and eateries.

The Buy Philadelphia Fair is part of MarketPlace PHL’s continued commitment to supporting local entrepreneurship by integrating authentic, locally made goods and products into the airport supply chain.

“With more than 30 million visitors and prospective consumers annually, PHL is Philly’s main entrance,” said Mel Hannah, Vice President and General Manager of MarketPlace PHL. “This event gives regional businesses a direct path to the people making purchasing decisions across our food and retail categories.”

How It Works

Approved businesses will take part in one-on-one networking sessions with airport operators and buyers, designed to showcase products, learn about the needs of airport retailers and restaurants and explore opportunities for future placement at PHL.

To qualify, applicants must demonstrate commercial readiness, including volume capacity and retail compliance.

Who Should Apply

  • Food and beverage product makers
  • Retail brands and giftable product lines
  • Certified or certifiable small and diverse businesses

This initiative builds on PHL Food & Shops’ “Founded in Philly” and “Buy Philadelphia” campaigns to promote regional economic growth through the airport’s concessions platform, with access to many of the airport’s most popular dining spots — and more to come.
