PUNTA GORDA, FL (Oct. 25, 2022) – The Charlotte County Airport Authority (CCAA) announces that Chad Rosenstein, MBA, A.A.E. has joined the Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) as its Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). Chad will work under CEO James W. Parish and have oversight of the Finance, Information Technology, Property Management, Procurement and Human Resources functions.

Chad has more than two decades of experience in the aviation industry. For the last seven years, he has been serving as the Lee County Port Authority’s (LCPA) Director of Government Affairs & Grants implementing strategies to maximize agency funding on capital projects while ensuring compliance with federal and local minority programs. When he started at LCPA in 2011, Chad was responsible for managing the Noise and Airspace program where he oversaw a comprehensive noise study, several community outreach programs and the implementation of a flight tracking system at Southwest Florida International Airport.

Chad also served as a Legislative Analyst for LCPA, working closely with legislators and policy makers on local, state and federal levels. Before working in Fort Myers, he worked in Maine for Delta Air Lines as a station manager overseeing 30 full-time employees and a multi-million dollar annual station budget.

“In addition to his extensive aviation experience, Chad Rosenstein has a wealth of knowledge in state and federal procurement regulations, budgeting and grants processes,” said CEO Parish. “We are excited to have Chad on board to help PGD continue to grow in the most efficient and effective manner.”

Chad joined PGD the week before Hurricane Ian made landfall in Charlotte County. Since then, Chad has been working diligently to keep administrative functions forging ahead while coordinating damage assessments and insurance claims. The CAO position was created upon the retirement of former Director of Finance, Sandy Cauley.

Chad serves on the Florida Airports Council (FAC) Board of Directors as Secretary/Treasurer, and as FAC’s co-chair of the State Affairs Committee. Chad is a graduate of the Florida Institute of Technology where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management. He subsequently earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree and the distinction of Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).

Not only is he an aviation-degreed professional, Chad has a single- and multi-engine commercial pilot certificate with an instrument rating, and holds certified flight instructor and certified flight instructor instrument certificates.
