Speaking on behalf of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer Chryssa Westerlund said, “With new service to Berlin, Dulles now has nonstop service to 41 capitals around the world. In the flight’s first year, we expect passenger travel between these markets will bring the Washington, D.C., metro area an economic impact of over $22 million.”

The event concluded with a ribbon-cutting at the gate and sendoff for the 225 passengers departing on the sold-out trans-Atlantic flight.
