PHOENIX, AZ – After a successful second nonstop flight to London Heathrow Airport for British Airways in May and June, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is pleased to announce that the airline is bringing back the additional service three days a week. Beginning March 27, 2018, British Airways will operate a second flight on Tuesdays and Fridays. On May 6, an additional Sunday flight will begin service. This added service will be available through October.
This added service will increase the number of seats available by 43 percent. Flight BA291 will arrive in Phoenix at 3:00 p.m. and take off at 5:10 p.m. This will give travelers extra options for flying nonstop to London and provide additional, convenient connection times at London Heathrow Airport, so that they may easily reach other cities all over the world.
Airport officials say that this is a reflection of the increased demand, not only by people wanting to come and go between Phoenix and England but between Phoenix and overseas destinations all over the world. This has also been demonstrated by the recent addition of Condor’s nonstop service between Phoenix and Frankfurt, which will begin May 2018.
British Airways marked its 21th anniversary of service in Phoenix in July. The airline will continue to offer its daily nonstop flight BA290 arriving in Phoenix at about 5:30 p.m. and departing for London at about 7:40 p.m. Tickets for both flights can be purchased at www.ba.com
