San José, Calif. – Officials at Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC) today announce the return of nonstop service to Minneapolis−Saint Paul International Airport (MSP). The flight operates four times weekly, on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The 3.5-hour flight departs San José in the first bank of morning departures, arriving in Minnesota at 11:59 am CST aboard an Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
The returning service comes as summer and loosening COVID restrictions are encouraging more travelers to take to the skies. “We’re very pleased to welcome Delta’s returning service to Minneapolis-St. Paul,” said John Aitken, Mineta San José International Airport Director. “Both Silicon Valley and the Twin Cities represent a hub of business and culture. Reconnecting them in this way signifies a positive step forward in an ongoing recovery, and we appreciate Delta’s continued confidence and partnership.”
Delta’s service between SJC and MSP was temporarily discontinued in April 2020, along with many others industry-wide due to COVID-19. The airline is scheduled to further expand its recovery at SJC by resuming daily service to Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) on August 5th.
