MINNEAPOLIS, July 19, 2022—GateKeeper Systems Inc., a leader in commercial vehicle management, airfield inspection, and transportation network company management systems for airports, today announced that the Syracuse Hancock International Airport began utilizing the GateKeeper TNC-Ops™ system to manage TNC operations.
By receiving messages from transportation network companies such as Uber and Lyft, GateKeeper TNC-Ops™ allows airports to display their TNC activity data in real-time, as TNC vehicles arrive at the airport and conduct passenger pick-ups and drop-offs.
Receiving this information in real-time enables Syracuse Hancock International Airport to manage their curbside more effectively, by helping ensure all TNC operators are adhering to regulations, such as performing pick-ups and drop-offs in the correct locations. The real-time data also provides information regarding traffic and usage patterns which enables airports to respond to congestions faster, and without the need to wait for a monthly download of activity from the TNCs. When paired with the GateKeeper TNC-Ops™ reporting suite, the airport can also compare the real-time activity to the monthly report totals provided by the TNCs.
“It’s great to bring the Syracuse Hancock International Airport into the group of over 30 airports utilizing TNC-Ops™ and benefitting from the operational advantages it offers for real-time and historical analysis purposes.” said Brian Richardson, President of GateKeeper Systems.
