Airline announces 17 more flights per week on transatlantic routes including Venezuela and Brazil

December 22, 2022 (Lisbon, Portugal) – TAP will greatly increase its flying to the US and Americas in the summer of 2023, offering a total of 17 additional flights during the peak period of operation (from June to September) compared to the same period in 2022 and restoring pre-pandemic offer levels.

For the US, TAP will offer 14 flights per week between Boston and Lisbon (three more than in the same period in 2022), Chicago will increase to five flights (from four), 10 flights to Miami (from seven), five to San Francisco (from four) and 10 to Washington (from eight). In total, TAP will offer 10 more flights per week between Portugal and the United States than in the peak summer of 2022.

New York, with direct flights from New York-JFK and Newark, remains a key gateway and TAP will maintain the same number of flights as peak summer of 2022.

In Brazil, TAP will offer four flights a week to Belém, one more than in 2022, seven to Belo Horizonte (one more), six to Salvador (one more), six to Brasília (one more) and 20 to S. Paulo (two more), maintaining its offer compared to the same period last year in the other Brazilian cities where it operates (Fortaleza, Natal, Maceió, Porto Alegre, Recife and Rio de Janeiro). In total, TAP will increase the number of weekly flights to Brazil by six during the peak summer of 2023, compared to the same period in 2022.

Another new feature is the increase from two to three flights per week between Lisbon and Caracas, allowing an improved offer for the Portuguese community in Venezuela.

In addition to this important growth of its transatlantic flights from Lisbon, TAP will also soon announce good news regarding its intercontinental flights from Porto.
