The City of Boise Department of Aviation Appoints Michael Crane, C.M., as Operations Manager

BOISE, ID – The City of Boise Department of Aviation has named Michael Crane, C.M., as Operations Manager for the Boise Airport (BOI). Mr. Crane will handle all airport operations related duties specific to 14 CFR Part 139. He began his new position on August 29, 2022.

Mr. Crane brings a strong background in airside operations, terminal operations, communication center operations, security operations, FAA and TSA regulatory compliance, and emergency response. Most recently, he was Manager, Operations for Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority. He has also worked for Fresno Yosemite International Airport.

“It is an exciting time to join the Boise Airport team as Airport Operations Manager,” said Mr. Crane. “I am looking forward to coming aboard during the upgrade projects at BOI and continuing the growth at the airport. I am excited to become part of the team and contribute to the airport’s success.”

Mr. Crane earned his bachelor’s degree in Aviation Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is a Certified Member (C.M.) of the American Association of Airport Executives. Mr. Crane is also an Airport Certified Employee in Operations.
