The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority Appoints James Surguine, CFM, as Director of Maintenance Operations

TAMPA, FL – The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority has named James Surguine, CFM, as Director of Maintenance Operations for Tampa International Airport (TPA). In this position, Mr. Surguine will lead a workforce engaged in a variety of complex maintenance activities including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire detection and protection equipment, HVAC systems, and building, grounds and fleet maintenance. He began his new position on March 13, 2023.

Mr. Surguine brings over 25 years of experience building, maintaining and operating a large portfolio of commercial facilities. Most recently he was Assistant Director of Maintenance with the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority where he was responsible for managing the Maintenance Contracts Division and activities related to Automated People Movers, Building Services, Elevators, Escalators, Fleet/Motor Pool, Interiors, Landscaping and Life Safety. He has also worked for Orange County Public Schools where he held positions of increasing responsibility.

Mr. Surguine is a Certified Facility Manager by the International Facility Management Association. He also holds a Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
