SOUTH BEND, IN – The St. Joseph County Airport Authority has named Rich Voniderstine Assistant Vice President – Operations & Maintenance for South Bend International Airport (SBN). In this role, he will assist the Vice President of Operations by managing the ongoing inspections, maintenance, and technical support activities required to ensure that airport operations and facilities are maintained in a safe, efficient and effective manner. He began his new position on November 15, 2023.

Most recently, Mr. Voniderstine was Airport Operations Supervisor for the Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority where he supervised a team of Operations officers and Airport Security Coordinators. He managed the airport ID badging department and had oversite of Landside and Terminal Operations. Mr. Voniderstine has also worked for La Crosse Regional Airport as Airport Operations Coordinator as well as Southwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines.

Mr. Voniderstine earned his bachelor’s degree in Aviation Administration from Utah Valley University.
