Warsaw Chopin Airport invites you to an extraordinary journey to the world of Star Wars. From April 25th to the grand finale on May 4th, passengers and all the visitors will experience spectacular attractions that will transport them straight to a distant galaxy!
What is Star Wars Day?
Star Wars Day is celebrated every year on May 4th by fans all over the world. The date “May the 4th” phonetically resembles and refers to the famous slogan “May the Force be with you” – hence the choice of May 4th as the day of celebration. On this day, Star Wars fans organize themed events and share their passion for this iconic saga.
The campaign was organized by Warsaw Chopin Airports in cooperation with global partners: Disney, the LEGO brand and the Dressler publishing house. Together we have created an event the aviation world has never seen before.
The airport has opened special zones in the departure hall of Terminal AB with iconic vehicles and characters from the Star Wars universe. This is the perfect opportunity to take a cosmic memory from your journey with you. After the security control zone (at Gate 1), the youngest travelers will find a unique LEGO zone, where they can spend their time creatively building their own models of spaceships.
The culmination of our space mission falls on May 4th – International Star Wars Day. That is when all the passengers and visitors at Warsaw Chopin Airport will be treated to unforgettable attractions and references to the Star Wars universe. On that day, in the general access zone, we will build an impressive, two-meter figure of Darth Vader made entirely of LEGO bricks.
– Warsaw Chopin Airport has always focused on exceptional traveler experiences. This time, we are going to a higher level and doing something absolutely unique on a global scale – on May 4th, on the occasion of Star Wars Day, we are turning our airport into an Intergalactic Space Port! We want our passengers to feel like they are part of this iconic saga and experience something truly incredible. It will be a spectacular celebration that they will remember for a long time – says Adam Sanocki, Member of the PPL Management Board for Strategy and Marketing.
We invite all Star Wars fans, LEGO enthusiasts and anyone looking for cosmic thrills to visit Chopin Airport in the coming days. We encourage you to share your impressions and photos on social media.
May the Force be with us all! (May the 4th be with us!)
