(Green Bay, Wis.) Getting ready for the NFL Draft means all-hands-on deck for Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB). Each part of the airport – including the restaurants and gift shops operated by Tailwind Hospitality – has a unique job to help travelers feel a Wisconsin welcome when they touchdown at GRB.
Tailwind is getting ready to offer travelers a true taste of Wisconsin — all the way down to preparing for unexpected weather. Tailwind is rolling out the red carpet with:
- A specialized Wisconsin-centered food and snack menu that will include:
- Scray Cheese Curds
- Poppin Z’s Popcorn
- Coffee, Honey and Soap products from Maple Buzz
- Door County Confectionary Caramels and Saltwater Taffy
- Chocolates and Toffees from Tailwind’s local provider
- There are plenty of Wisconsin’s favorite New Glarus Brewing Company beers, including Spotted Cow, available airport wide, as well as 12-packs to grab and go with travelers.
- Original Green Bay Packers Cheeseheads® and magnets directly from the Green Bay Packers Pro Shop will be ready in the gift shops.
- Tailwind will host tailgate pop-ups in both concourses to bring the Wisconsin atmosphere alive. Tailgate areas will feature “Tailgate Essentials” such as Wisconsin Brats, Cheddar Cheeseburgers, Pretzels & Beer Cheese dip. There are also multiple QR codes to win prizes and tickets to the NFL Draft festivities. Credit or Debit Card only at these tailgate pop-ups.
- Extra hats and mittens will be available for purchase if the weather is cooler.
- Increased staffing and open extra hours are in place to help accommodate travelers’ schedules.
“We want travelers to experience Wisconsin to its fullest and enjoy some of the most loved aspects of Green Bay,” said Airport Director Marty Piette. “We are thankful to have a partner like Tailwind to create memorable experiences for visitors even before they leave the airport.”
