EVA Air to Launch at Dulles International

Event celebrates first-ever nonstop flight from

Washington to Taipei, Taiwan

Airline and airport executives and government officials will gather Friday, June 26, to celebrate new EVA Air nonstop service between Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei, Taiwan, and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). Flights will operate four days per week year-round on a Boeing 787-9 aircraft featuring a three-class configuration. EVA Air’s nonstop service to Taiwan is the first ever in the history of Dulles Airport and will be the longest route served from Washington, approximately 7,800 miles.
Friday’s event will provide members of the media with an up-close view of the inaugural flight landing, followed by interviews with airport, government and airline executives. A large delegation of Taiwanese media, airline and government officials will arrive on the inbound flight.

  •   1:00 p.m.: Scheduled arrival of flight BR4 (could be earlier)
  •   2:00 p.m.: Ceremony begins in Main Terminal
