New Terminal A-West location, opened in partnership with Visit PA, welcomes travelers with visitor information, recommendations and souvenirs from across Pennsylvania

PHILADELPHIA — June 29, 2026 — As Philadelphia International Airport continues to greet record-breaking volumes of passengers amid an unprecedented year for tourism and major events, the Philadelphia Visitor Center and Visit PA have opened a new location in the airport’s international Terminal A-West — providing travelers with visitor information and resources to help them explore Philadelphia and Pennsylvania. The new Visitor Center serves as a welcoming entry point for global travelers during what is expected to be one of the busiest tourism seasons in Philadelphia’s history.

“This summer is one of the most exciting moments in Philadelphia’s history, and first impressions matter. The Philadelphia Visitor Center at Philadelphia International Airport ensures we make a great first impression on travelers joining us from around the world,” said Kathryn Ott Lovell, President & CEO, Philadelphia Visitor Center and Philadelphia250. “In partnership with Visit PA, our team will provide immediate access to trusted information and local recommendations that will help visitors make the most of their time in Philadelphia and throughout Pennsylvania.”

Located steps away from PHL’s iconic Rocky statue, the new Visitor Center serves as a welcoming first stop for travelers arriving in the city. The location offers maps, attraction recommendations, transportation resources and information about experiences throughout Philadelphia and the Commonwealth.

The 1,000-square-foot Visitor Center also features a curated selection of souvenirs and gifts from across Pennsylvania, along with official Rocky merchandise through a partnership with Sylvester Stallone’s officially licensed brand, the Sly Stallone Shop. Visitors can also send complimentary postcards to friends and family from a dedicated postcard station.

“Philadelphia is the front door to Pennsylvania for millions of visitors each year, and there is no better time to showcase all that our Commonwealth has to offer,” said Anne Ryan, Deputy Secretary of Tourism for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. “This new Visitor Center creates a warm welcome for travelers arriving from around the globe and helps connect them to the experiences, communities and stories that make Pennsylvania unforgettable.”

The opening comes as Philadelphia welcomes an unprecedented number of visitors throughout summer 2026 as the host of six FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches, the MLB All-Star Game, U.S. semiquincentennial celebrations and more.

“Our mission is to proudly connect Philadelphia with the world, which we have demonstrated tenfold during all of the events of 2026, through enhanced guest experience training and volunteer employee ambassadors greeting visitors in our terminals,” said PHL Interim CEO Tracy Borda. “We’re thrilled to add this Visitor Center to help our guests find their way around the city, take a piece of Philadelphia with them and make them want to come back and visit again.”

“PHL is often a visitor’s first impression of our city and region,” said Mel Hannah, vice president and general manager of MarketPlace PHL. “The new Philadelphia Visitor Center location enhances the passenger experience by providing valuable travel resources, local recommendations and unique merchandise while helping showcase Philadelphia and Pennsylvania to a global audience.”

The Visitor Center will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
