| INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 2, 2026) — Today is the first-time ever for JetBlue passengers to arrive nonstop at the Indianapolis International Airport (IND). In May the airline announced it would begin operations out of IND in early November. Tomorrow, Hoosiers will board the first departing flight, flying on JetBlue’s new daily nonstop flight to Fort Lauderdale.
JetBlue becomes the newest airline to operate out of the Indy airport, and it will add to the growing list of IND’s 58 nonstop flights.
“With JetBlue coming on board, the airline will expand service into South Florida from Indianapolis, and it will also give Hoosiers convenient access from there to the Caribbean and Latin America,” Mario Rodriguez, Indianapolis Airport Authority executive director. “That’s a win-win that kicks off today for Central Indiana.”
Beyond Fort Lauderdale’s beaches, cruise port and the broader South Florida region, the new nonstop offers travelers one-stop connections to 10 Caribbean and Latin American markets across Aruba, the Bahamas, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico and Puerto Rico. On board, JetBlue customers enjoy free high-speed Wi-Fi, seatback entertainment and complimentary snacks and drinks.
To celebrate the new service, JetBlue is offering limited one-way fares between Indianapolis and Fort Lauderdale starting at $59 available on Jetblue.com through tomorrow Nov. 3
“Bringing JetBlue to Indianapolis for the first time opens up new travel opportunities for customers, with nonstop service to South Florida and beyond,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president, revenue, network and enterprise planning with JetBlue. “Whether traveling for a beach getaway, to visit family and friends or to explore somewhere new, Indianapolis travelers now have more options to get there with the competitive fares and award-winning service JetBlue is known for.”
As the industry absorbed the news about Spirit Airlines back in May, the IAA was ahead of the curve – having already built strong relationships that landed Indianapolis among JetBlue’s 11 key markets for growing its South Florida access.
“Landing a new airline doesn’t happen overnight. It takes years of building relationships and making the case for what Indy has to offer,” said Maggie Cunningham, Indianapolis Airport Authority director of air service and airport experience. “Our team had been working closely with JetBlue for more than a decade, so when the moment came, Indy was ready. Today’s first flight is the payoff of that work, and it’s a great day for our travelers.”
With its connections from South Florida to the Caribbean and Latin America, JetBlue adds to the airport’s list of airlines offering access to international destinations in the past 18 months. Those destinations include nonstop flights to Dublin (Ireland), San Jose del Cabo (Mexico), Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), and connections to European cities through the new Montreal nonstop flight that will launch summer 2027.
