Breeze Airways will expand its domestic service at New York Stewart International Airport (SWF), adding Myrtle Beach (MYR) in South Carolina as its latest new offering from the Hudson Valley. Just in time for Memorial Day weekend 2027, Breeze will offer new twice weekly service between SWF and South Carolina that will include the added benefit of continued service to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) without deplaning or rechecking baggage. Service begins May 28, 2027, with tickets available now on the Breeze Airways website, the Port Authority announced.

Flights will operate on Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with departures from SWF at 11:17 a.m. on Mondays and on Fridays. The new service to Myrtle Beach and Breeze’s “BreezeThru” service to FLL adds more flights and flexibility to some of New York Stewart’s most popular destinations.

The expanded service builds on Breeze Airways’ growing presence at New York Stewart, where the airline also operates year-round service to Charleston, S.C., (CHS), Orlando, Fla. (MCO), Raleigh-Durham, N.C. (RDU) with “BreezeThru” service to Tampa, Fla. (TPA), and seasonal service to other destinations.

“More flights at New York Stewart mean more flexibility and better fares for Hudson Valley travelers,” said Port Authority Chairman Kevin O’Toole. “We are focused on working with airlines and local partners to highlight New York Stewart as an easy alternative to popular domestic destinations when traveling in the New York-New Jersey region.”

“We’re thrilled that Breeze is adding more options at New York Stewart for Hudson Valley travelers,” said Port Authority Executive Director Kathryn Garcia. “For travelers looking for quicker and direct connections, the design and size of the New York Stewart Airport terminal offers a simplified airport experience.”

“Every route we add to our network starts with the same question: where can Breeze’s direct service bring travelers a convenience they don’t already enjoy today?” said David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and CEO. “This new route now brings Breeze’s high-value, low-cost service to more destinations, making affordable travel more convenient than ever.”

New York Stewart offers minimal wait times at security, seamless border and customs processing, and a straightforward baggage claim. The airport is accessible from New York City and New Jersey via public transportation. A free 20-minute Newburgh-Beacon Bridge Shuttle bus ride connects air travelers between the airport and the Beacon train station, where New York City-bound passengers can take Amtrak or Metro-North Railroad’s Hudson Line to Grand Central Terminal.

New Jersey-bound travelers can take a ride-share or taxi from the airport to NJ TRANSIT’s Salisbury Mills-Cornwall rail station on the Port Jervis line to Secaucus Junction and Hoboken, N.J.

For travelers unfamiliar with the airport, the Port Authority recently launched a purpose-built AI assistant for New York Stewart Airport’s website to help customers quickly and easily find information, such as security and customs wait times, parking availability, and airport amenities. The AI assistants are embedded into the airport’s website and are among the first airport websites in the nation to feature AI assistants. Their features were developed and trained by Port Authority staff on information and features unique to New York Stewart Airport.

Airport website users already have access to real-time assistance through live video and messaging apps including WhatsApp, but the 24/7 availability of an AI-powered assistant embedded within the airport websites allows travelers to ask questions specific to their trip without leaving the website or opening another browser tab. The assistant’s guidance is also iterative, building its responses on previous questions and incorporating the user’s information and preferences in its responses throughout the interaction.

The Port Authority continues to work with local business leaders, elected officials, and community groups to attract more air travel options to New York Stewart.

“On behalf of all Hudson Valley residents, this is a fantastic addition to our regional airport,” said New York State Sen. James Skoufis. “For the first time in a long time, there is meaningful momentum at Stewart Airport and I will continue working with the Port Authority and all stakeholders to build on this success. I sincerely thank Breeze Airways for this new route and their well-placed faith in Stewart Airport.”

“Breeze’s new Myrtle Beach service is another win for New York Stewart and for the entire Hudson Valley,” said Mike Oates, president and CEO of the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation. “More flights mean more choices for our residents and more visitors coming into our region. We’re grateful to the Port Authority and Breeze for continuing to invest in Stewart. It’s an airport that makes the Hudson Valley more competitive.”

“The expansion of air service at New York Stewart International Airport is an important win for Orange County and the entire Hudson Valley region,” said Heather Bell, president & CEO of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce. “Breeze Airways’ new nonstop service to Myrtle Beach creates another convenient travel option for our residents while strengthening Stewart’s position as a valuable regional transportation hub. Increased air service supports our local economy, creates opportunities for tourism and business growth, and reinforces the importance of continued investment in our airport. We applaud Breeze Airways and our partners at the Port Authority for their commitment to expanding connectivity and look forward to seeing this new route succeed.”

“Air connectivity is economic infrastructure, and New York Stewart International Airport is a strategic asset in Orange County’s ability to compete for investment, jobs, and talent. Every new route strengthens our connection to national markets, supports tourism and commerce, and enhances our attractiveness as a destination for business investment. Breeze Airways’ continued expansion is a strong vote of confidence in the Hudson Valley and reinforces Stewart’s potential as a catalyst for regional economic growth,” said Conor Eckert, president & CEO of the Orange County Partnership, Center for Economic Development.
