October 20, 2026 – New York City – SR Aviation Infrastructure (“SRAI”), a subsidiary of New York- and Nashville-based real estate investment and development firm SomeraRoad, today broke ground on three new hangars totaling 75,000 square feet at SRAI Las Vegas, its premier aviation complex at Harry Reid International Airport, directly adjacent to the Las Vegas Strip. Designed to accommodate ultra-long-range business aircraft, the new hangars will meet growing demand for hangar space capable of accommodating larger aircraft in Las Vegas’ burgeoning private aviation market.
The project will redevelop a portion of the 23-acre complex, replacing 14 of its 37 existing hangars with three new 25,000-square-foot hangars. One of the three new hangars has already been leased ahead of construction, underscoring demand for large-format hangar space in the Las Vegas market, with the remaining two available for lease. Upon completion, SRAI Las Vegas will comprise 26 individually leased aviation hangars totaling approximately 315,000 square feet, all with direct runway access. Located within the sixth-busiest private jet airport in the United States, SRAI Las Vegas offers a highly accessible home base for business and private aviation.
“Las Vegas is where SRAI began, and this groundbreaking marks a significant milestone for our platform,” said Jonathon Reeser, President, SR Aviation Infrastructure. “We launched SRAI to address a clear supply-demand imbalance driven by growing private aviation activity, the increasing prevalence of larger, ultra-long-range aircraft, and the need for modern, institutional-quality facilities. By strategically expanding hangar capacity at one of the country’s busiest airports, we are directly addressing this demand with purpose-built infrastructure designed to meet the evolving needs of aircraft owners and operators.”
The new hangars are expected to be completed by Q1 2028. The project team includes Echelon, JRMA, Lochsa, ORO Builders, Inc., and T. Violé Construction.
“SRAI Las Vegas is strategically positioned in one of the fastest-growing private aviation markets in the country, and the demand we’re seeing for larger, modern hangar space is significant,” said Monte Koch, Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor, SR Aviation Infrastructure. “In recent years, we’ve seen the private aviation industry shift toward larger aircraft and higher expectations for the facilities that house them. We are thrilled to offer state-of-the-art hangars that reflect where the industry is going, and we look forward to delivering them to the Las Vegas aviation community.”
SRAI Las Vegas was the investment platform’s first acquisition and the foundation for SRAI’s launch. Since the acquisition of the former Quail Air Center in 2024, SRAI has expanded into key high-growth private aviation markets nationwide, where demand for hangar space continues to outpace available supply. SRAI addresses this imbalance through the acquisition, development, and leasing of modern hangar facilities, with the current portfolio including SRAI Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada; SRAI San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas; SRAI Bozeman in Bozeman, Montana; SRAI Farmingdale on Long Island, New York; and SRAI Rocky Mountain in Denver, Colorado.
