ADK Consulting & Executive Search, a retained recruitment firm known for its expertise in senior executive searches in the aviation industry, announced the successful placement of Javier Centeno, A.A.E., as Assistant Director – Operations for The City of Dallas, Department of Aviation. In this role, Mr. Centeno will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of the Dallas Airport System (DAS), which includes Dallas Love Field and Dallas Executive Airport.

Mr. Centeno is an accomplished aviation professional with more than 14 years of progressive leadership experience in regulatory compliance, safety management, and complex airfield operations. Since joining the City of Dallas Department of Aviation in 2022, he has served as Superintendent of Airport Operations, managing the Airport Operations Division’s $3.5 million budget, and leading the coordination of multi-million-dollar capital improvement projects. Prior to this role, he served as Deputy Director of Operations and Facilities for the Bloomington- Normal Airport Authority, where he directed critical airport functions including safety, security, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Mr. Centeno earned his bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management and Operations from Southern Illinois University and went on to earn his Master of Business Administration in Airport Management from the University of Central Missouri. He is an Accredited Member (A.A.E.) of the American Association of Airport Executives.
