Blue Grass Airport Announces New Board Officers for 2026

Tonya Jackson Appointed as Airport Board Chair
Lexington, KY—July 13, 2026—The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board is pleased to announce that it has appointed Tonya Jackson as chair of the Board, effective July 15, 2026. A member of the Board since 2020 and previous vice chair, Jackson brings broad executive experience in strategy, operations and governance. She succeeds outgoing Board Chair Brian Wells, who served two four-year terms.

Tonya Jackson recently retired after more than 30 years at Lexmark, where she held multiple C-suite leadership roles with responsibility for global operations, product development, supply chain and human resources. She helped guide the company through significant transformation while building high-performing teams and future leaders. Today, Jackson serves on boards and committees throughout the community and advises organizations on strategy, leadership and organizational effectiveness.

The Airport Board also appointed Clay Angelucci as vice chair. Marc Mathews will continue to serve as treasurer, and Shirie Hawkins will continue to serve as secretary. Additional Board members include Tony Bonner, Angela Coleman, Bangaly “Sav” Savané, Dave Sevigny and Mary-Alicha Weldon.

The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board is the governing body for Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport. Its 10 volunteer members are appointed by the Mayor of Lexington and confirmed by the Urban County Council. The Airport Board sets policy, represents the interests of the community and hires a president & CEO who carries out the airport’s day-to-day functions.
