Lexington, KYJune 5, 2026—Blue Grass Airport (LEX) is celebrating the launch of a second daily Delta Air Lines flight between Lexington and New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA), beginning Sunday, June 7. The additional flight for this popular route provides travelers with greater flexibility and more convenient options when visiting New York City or connecting to destinations throughout Delta’s network. With two daily departures, travelers can more easily make a round-trip visit to and from New York in a single day for business meetings, events or quick getaways. More choices allow travelers to book a flight time that best fits their schedule.

“Expanding service to one of LEX’s most in-demand markets reflects the continued growth of air travel in central Kentucky and enhances connectivity for travelers throughout the region,” said Eric Frankl, president and CEO of Blue Grass Airport. “We are grateful to Delta Air Lines for its continued investment in central Kentucky and for recognizing the strength of this market. Continued community support of this service is critical to its long-term success, and we encourage travelers to choose and support their local airport whenever possible.”

With two daily flights, leisure travelers now have more chances to enjoy everything New York City has to offer, including dining at award-winning restaurants, seeing one of Broadway’s unforgettable theater productions and shopping at retailers located throughout the city. It is also a great way to experience iconic attractions such as the Statue of Liberty or Central Park. In addition to seeing all the sights in New York City itself, this flight offers more opportunities for passengers to connect to other destinations, making it the beginning of trips to cities around the world.

Tickets for these flights are available at www.delta.com and via the Delta Air Lines app.
