North Platte, Neb. – The North Platte Airport Authority invites the community to an open house on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. to celebrate the completion of the North Platte – New Places terminal development project. The open house offers a first look inside the new passenger terminal before it opens for flight operations.
Guests are invited to enjoy refreshments and a self-guided tour of the facility, explore its modern features, and learn how this investment will enhance regional air travel and support the future growth of western Nebraska.
Designed with sustainability and passenger comfort in mind, the new terminal features jet bridge boarding, modern restrooms, abundant natural light, and food and beverage options available both before and after security screening.
“This terminal is an investment in the future of North Platte and western Nebraska,” said Justin Gosnell, Airport Manager. “We’re proud to welcome the community for a first look and share how this facility will enhance the travel experience, support economic growth, and serve the region for years to come.”
Community members, business leaders, and regional partners are encouraged to attend and experience the new facility firsthand. The open house is free and open to the public. Parking will be available at the airport.
