OCEANO, CA — The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Airports invites the community to attend Display Day at Oceano Airport on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

This free, family-friendly event highlights general aviation, bringing together local pilots, aviation enthusiasts, and community members for a day of connection and learning.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet local pilots, view aircraft up close, and learn more about aviation in San Luis Obispo County. Pilots are encouraged to participate, with fly-ins welcome throughout the event.

A cash-only BBQ, hosted by Vons and the Department of Airports, will be available for purchase. Proceeds will benefit the Lucia Mar Unified School District (LMUSD) Career Technical Education (CTE) Aviation Program, supporting opportunities for local students to explore careers in aviation.

“This event reflects the role Oceano Airport plays in connecting people to aviation in a meaningful way,” said Courtney Johnson, Director of Airports. “Events like Display Day help inspire the future of aviation in our region and play an important role in shaping the next generation of aviation professionals.”
