DFW AIRPORT, Texas (Sept. 16, 2026) — Airports across North America are celebrating Airports Council International’s (ACI) Airport Concessions Day and this year’s theme, Regional Flavor and Flare. At Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), that means highlighting the new places to eat, shop and unwind across its terminals. As DFW grows alongside North Texas, travelers are seeing more local favorites, national brands, premium spaces and new experiences along the way.
This year alone more than a dozen new dining, shopping and customer amenities have opened across DFW, adding to an expanding portfolio of more than 200 concessions and giving travelers more options. This is part of DFW’s broader strategy to create an airport experience that reflects the culture and growth of North Texas while giving customers more ways to personalize every stage of their journey.
“Every new concession represents another opportunity to introduce visitors to North Texas, support local businesses and create an airport experience that is memorable long before customers board their flight,” said Ken Buchanan, DFW’s Executive Vice President, Chief Revenue Officer.
Among the newest additions are local favorites like Brewed, Deep Ellum Brewing, Art-K-Texture and Lone Chimney Mercantile, alongside national brands including Portillo’s, Raising Cane’s, Whataburger, TGI Fridays, Chili’s, Auntie Anne’s, The Peach Cobbler Factory, and more.
The expansion complements DFW’s ongoing terminal modernization program, which continues adding gates, customer amenities and new public spaces throughout the airport. Together, these investments are helping create an award-winning airport experience that reflects both the scale of DFW’s growth and the character of the communities it serves.
DFW’s award-winning concessions partners have recently earned national recognition and multiple industry awards, including:
- Best New National Brand Concept (ACI-NA): Smoothie King
- Airport Health & Wellness-Centered Offer of the Year (FAB – Gold / Finalist): Smoothie King
- Airport Coffee or Tea Shop of the Year (FAB – Gold / Finalist): Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf + Bakery
- Airport Casual Dining Restaurant (FAB – Silver): Chili’s
- Airport Lounge Opening of the Year (FAB – Silver): Plaza Premium Lounge
Airport Concessions Day celebrates partners that help give airports a sense of place. For DFW that means providing a taste of North Texas while welcoming the world to the region. With new concepts continuing to open, every journey is another chance to show travelers more of what makes North Texas home.
