Fast-casual favorite expands Mission District-style burrito concept to Philadelphia travelers
PHILADELPHIA — June 2, 2026 — Bay Area-inspired burrito brand Dos Toros Taqueria has officially landed at Philadelphia International Airport, and the restaurant is now open for passengers in the food court between Terminals B and C as the latest addition to the PHL Food & Shops program.
Built on premium-grade slow-cooked meats and house-made salsas, the cult-favorite counter-service taqueria is not only sharing its Mexican cuisine with one of the busiest airports in the U.S. but it’s also making its first-ever expansion into the Keystone State.
At PHL’s Dos Toros, passengers can expect the taqueria’s signature menu, including burritos, tacos and bowls featuring steak and carnitas marinated in custom spice blends. Fresh guacamole made with Hass avocados, a variety of house-made salsas — including verde, smoky and habanero — and a range of vegetarian and plant-based options are also available.
Founded near New York University in 2009 by two brothers who grew up in the Bay Area on Mission-style burritos, Dos Toros brings West Coast flavor and New York energy to passengers at PHL. For more than 17 years, the brand has delivered high-quality, customizable Mexican fare, earning a loyal following across major U.S. urban markets.
Today, the brand boasts 26 establishments across the East Coast and Chicago, each delivering the distinctive Dos Toros experience, marked by customizable burritos, tacos, bowls and quesadillas, with quickness and quality.
“The Grove Inc. is thrilled to welcome our latest national brand partner, Dos Toros, to our portfolio at PHL,” said Nina Madonia, Chief Executive Officer of The Grove Inc. “The Dos Toros menu is fully customizable, and the made-to-order meals are always fresh and delicious. We know the PHL travelers and community love a quick morning bite and quality food on the run, and Dos Toros delivers!”
Morning travelers will enjoy Dos Toros’ signature breakfast burritos filled with scrambled eggs, refried beans, cheese and vegetables with protein options including chorizo, bacon or steak. The all-day menu features burritos, tacos, bowls, nachos and salads — which can all be customized with a range of bases, proteins, toppings and salsas.
Dos Toros carries a variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free items, ensuring every PHL passenger can get exactly what they want. The restaurant also offers Mexican and domestic beers as well as other drinks.
“Bringing Dos Toros to Philadelphia International Airport marks an exciting milestone for our brand as we continue expanding into high-profile travel destinations across the country,” said Jeff Drake, President of Dos Toros. “We’re incredibly proud to partner with The Grove Inc. to introduce Philadelphia passengers to the fresh ingredients, bold flavors and hospitality that define Dos Toros, and we look forward to serving travelers from around the world at PHL.”
“PHL continues to expand its culinary program with brands that bring both quality and authenticity to our terminals,” said Mel Hannah, Vice President and General Manager of MarketPlace PHL. “Dos Toros offers a made-to-order option that meets the evolving needs of PHL passengers as we enter the busy summer travel season while delivering a fast, reliable experience.”
Dos Toros’ opening at PHL was made possible by award-winning food and beverage operator The Grove Inc., a women-owned business with a growing presence at the airport. The company operates Philly Pretzel Factory and PrimoHoagies and recently launched Pretzels & Pints, an original concept that debuted in Terminal A-East in April 2026.
Dos Toros is operated in partnership with M2 Concepts LLC, a private food, beverage and retail company specializing in airports and nontraditional settings. The company is led by Co-Owner and Vice President Ray Mickens.
