| INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 6, 2026) — Southwest Airlines has extended its schedule for the 2027 summer season, bringing good news for Hoosiers flying out of the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) – and fun in the southern sun is on the itinerary.
For the first time in the route’s history, Southwest will fly nonstop daily from Indy to Cancun. Starting June 3, Hoosiers can book a trip to the Mexican Caribbean coast any day of the week. In June 2027, Southwest will also resume its Myrtle Beach nonstop flight for the first time since 2021 — operating on Saturdays only.
And Southwest’s Saturday nonstop to San Juan, Puerto Rico will not only return for Spring Break 2027 service, but the airline will continue that service through the full summer season.
“Good news keeps landing in Indy,” said Mario Rodriguez, Indianapolis Airport Authority executive director. “These destinations are the result of listening. We listen to Hoosiers and we work with our airline partners to build those travel opportunities – which all start with a world-class airport experience right here in Indy.”
