Fort McMurray, AB – The Fort McMurray Airport Authority (FMAA) is proud to announce that Fort McMurray International Airport (YMM) has achieved the highest all time AirportNEXT variable scores in terminal, transportation access and technology services across all participating airports in North America.
The recognition is part of the AirportNEXT Stakeholder Engagement Assessment, developed in partnership with Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA), which evaluates how airports perform across key areas including infrastructure, facilities and stakeholder alignment.
“This recognition is a direct reflection of the care, attention and pride our team brings to the passenger experience every day,” said Denean Robinson, President and CEO, FMAA. “To be recognized at this level among airports across North America speaks to the strength of our facility and the experience we deliver to our community.”
The AirportNEXT program gathers feedback from airport, industry and community stakeholders, offering a comprehensive view of performance and opportunities for improvement.
Results from YMM’s most recent assessment highlighted strong performance across infrastructure and passenger facing services, with particular recognition in terminal experience, ease of access and technology offerings.
“Congratulations to YMM and their leadership team for having such strong relationships with their key stakeholders,” said Tom Ruth, President, AirportNEXT Solutions Inc. This achievement reflects alignment, collaboration, and trust among many different groups.”
Insights from the AirportNEXT assessment will continue to guide the Fort McMurray Airport Authority’s priorities, including stakeholder engagement, passenger experience and air service development.
