[HUNTSVILLE, Ala.] – Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC), a local architecture and engineering firm, is proud to welcome Jennifer Harp as aviation senior project manager for its transportation discipline. Harp’s expertise further strengthens the firm’s expanding capabilities and underscores its commitment to advancing communities through aviation and transportation engineering in the Huntsville area and beyond.
Harp brings over two decades of experience in the design, analysis, and management of airport infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, hangars, aprons and more. She is known for delivering high-quality projects on time while prioritizing public safety and high client satisfaction.
“Jennifer’s addition to our Huntsville office is an exciting and valuable asset to the team,” Matt Thomason, Aviation Market Leader, said. “She brings the depth of experience and history of keeping clients at the center of her work. Her approach reflects GMC’s commitment to building communities and strengthening the relationships that make them thrive.”
Her previous expertise led her to develop multiple aviation infrastructure projects in Shelby County, Cherokee County, Pell City, Alexander City and more. However, the highlight for her is her clients. Harp said she loves working with her clients and seeing a project from start to finish. The wide variety of her work leaves her with interesting projects and something new to look forward to each day.
“Transportation infrastructure projects are essential, but most people don’t give much thought to how they are planned, developed, designed or implemented – they just seem to materialize without notice,” Harp said. “Our projects help people in so many ways, and I am excited to continue serving the Huntsville community. I was drawn to GMC for its people and its notable projects, and I’m thrilled to be part of the team.”
Harp is a Huntsville native and loves the city for its small-town feel, with some of the big-city options. Her knowledge of the surrounding area brings local insight to projects while delivering technical excellence in aviation engineering.
