The hotel will be the first extended-stay property located on the DFW Airport campus

DALLAS/FORT WORTH (Aug. 24, 2026) — Hyatt, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Woodbine Development Corporation, Muckleroy & Falls and Merriman Anderson Architects (MAA) celebrated the topping out of Hyatt House Dallas DFW Airport on Friday, August 21.

The ceremonial event signifying the completion of the structural framing, beam signing and BBQ luncheon were hosted on the construction site of the forthcoming extended-stay hotel, located at the Southgate entrance of the DFW International Airport campus. More than 150 team members and project partners showed up to celebrate. Hyatt House Dallas DFW Airport is expected to be completed and operational in Summer 2027.

“Today’s topping out serves to celebrate our construction team for their efforts to bring Hyatt House Dallas DFW Airport to life,” said Dupree Scovell, managing partner and chief investment officer at Woodbine. “We are thankful for their efforts that brought us to this milestone moment, and we look forward to seeing this project come to life as the exclusive extended-stay destination on the DFW Airport campus.”

“Our investment in hospitality reinforces our commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for every traveler and expands available options while visiting and doing business in north Texas,” said Mohamed Charkas, DFW’s executive vice president, chief development and infrastructure officer. “As we build for the future, we’re creating an airport campus that supports growth and also delivers the services, accommodations and experiences our customers and partners need.”

DFW International Airport, Hyatt and Woodbine have a multi-decade collaboration of hotel development and asset management, and the forthcoming Hyatt House Dallas DFW Airport expands the list of Hyatt-branded properties on the airport campus. The hotel will be adjacent to Hyatt Place DFW and join other on-campus Hyatt hotels including Hyatt Regency DFW International Airport and Grand Hyatt DFW.

DFW Airport is the hotel’s owner, Woodbine is the developer, Muckleroy & Falls is the contractor, MAA is the architect, and Hyatt will be the operator.

“Topping out is a meaningful milestone because it reflects the dedication, craftsmanship and collaboration of everyone who has contributed to this project,” said Clint Moyes, vice president of operations at Muckleroy & Falls. “We’re proud to celebrate this milestone alongside the entire project team and look forward to delivering a hotel that will serve travelers for years to come.”
