As the largest Eataly at JFK Airport, the T4 location marks the latest opening in JFKIAT’s food & beverage program
Queens, New York – October 19, 2026 – JFKIAT – the operator of Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport – today announced the opening of Eataly – the globally recognized Italian restaurant and marketplace brand – enhancing T4’s renowned dining program. The opening of Eataly at JFK T4 is part of JFKIAT’s partnership with the HMSHost-led joint venture announced last year, to introduce a varied selection of local and diverse food & beverage businesses into T4.
The new Eataly culinary addition reflects the latest milestone in T4’s ongoing transformation, as JFKIAT continues to reimagine the terminal’s commercial program with a focus on creating a world-class passenger experience that reflects the cultural diversity, innovation, and energy of New York City. As part of the transformation, JFKIAT has woven elements of each NYC borough throughout T4, creating different zones that each represents a borough or region for passengers to authentically experience. Eataly, a New York City staple, sits in the terminal’s Manhattan region and joins an expanding lineup of acclaimed and local culinary offerings at T4, including Brooklyn Tea & Market, FIELDTRIP, Bessou, Chopt, Dos Toros, and Hunt & Fish Club.
Located next to the Delta Sky Club and gate B32, Eataly at T4 spans 6,935 square feet and serves as Eataly’s largest airport location in North America. The attractive space features more than 200 seats, a restaurant, a wine bar, and a marketplace with grab & go options, offering passengers a variety of ways to experience authentic Italian cuisine before departure or upon arrival. Passengers who visit the space have the option of selecting from antipasti, traditional Italian pizza and pasta dishes, classic Italian sweets, refreshing salads, and wine or cocktails.
“The arrival of Eataly marks another exciting step forward in our continued efforts to enhance the culinary and passenger experience at T4,” said Roel Huinink, Chief Executive Officer of JFKIAT. “As we continue to shape the future of our terminal, we remain committed to introducing concepts that offer passengers meaningful opportunities to discover new flavors, cultures, and experiences. Eataly brings the traditions, quality, and hospitality of Italy to T4, adding another layer to the diverse and dynamic experience we strive to create for travelers from around the world.”

Eataly’s first North American location and New York City flagship is located in the heart of Manhattan in the charming Flatiron district. The symbolic Italian brand has been reimagined to fit T4’s commercial program in the Manhattan region at the terminal, providing a curated selection of food & beverage offerings for passengers within a space designed to reflect Manhattan’s energy and timelessness. The space was also designed with the guest in mind, providing seamless and convenient accessibility and making it navigable with a layout that facilitates circulation and enables efficient flow, particularly during heightened travel times. Products in the market’s grab & go section are displayed visibly for guests, encouraging direct interaction and facilitating the shopping experience for those in a time crunch. Bold and clear signage is also displayed throughout the space, allowing for easy visibility as guests navigate the area. To provide an elegant and welcoming feel for guests and employees alike, Eataly at T4 is also designed with tones of brown and neutrals, including bronze, stone, leather, and wood.
“At HMSHost, we are passionate about transforming travel through exceptional dining experiences, and the opening of Eataly at JFK Terminal 4 represents exactly that vision,” said Anthony Alessi, Vice President of Business Development, HMSHost. “As one of New York City’s most celebrated culinary destinations, Eataly brings an authentic sense of place, world-class Italian cuisine, and genuine hospitality to travelers. Together with JFKIAT and our partners, we are proud to continue elevating Terminal 4’s food and beverage program with concepts that reflect the energy, diversity, and global appeal of New York while creating memorable moments throughout the passenger journey.”
Eataly’s opening supports JFKIAT’s vision of creating a destination where travelers can discover the rich range of culture, flavors, and hospitality of New York City throughout their journey. Through the collaboration with HMSHost, JFKIAT continues to enhance the passenger experience at T4 by welcoming celebrated brands that offer authentic, high-quality dining experiences while reinforcing the terminal’s role as a global leader in hospitality and travel innovation. The local businesses selected as joint-venture partners to HMSHost include: Tamalito Inc., Neat Rules Hospitality Group LLC, Kintaro Foods LLC, Kismet Cocktails, Corlis Stone-Littles LLC, SHCAIR LLC, and Fresco’s Cantina.
“We are thrilled to introduce our Eataly experience to T4 at JFK – one of the world’s great gateways – closing out an important milestone in our brand’s expansion to the travel space in North America,” said Simone Tosato, Global Head of Franchising at Eataly. “From the start, Eataly has been rooted in the belief that food is a powerful way to connect people, with Italian culture and tradition at our heart. The new location at JFK allows us to bring this mission to life within a dynamic airport environment, offering a curated guest experience that underlines the quality, craftsmanship, and hospitality that can be found across the peninsula of Italy. Thank you to JFKIAT, HMSHost, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for your incredible partnership and support throughout the project – we were honored to work together on this endeavor.”
“Eataly is an iconic New York City destination, and we are excited to bring this beloved experience to travelers at JFK Terminal 4,” said Teresa Rizzuto, General Manager of John F. Kennedy International Airport. “Eataly, which made its North American airport debut at JFK, provides passengers with another opportunity to experience the city’s vibrant culinary culture as they travel through our airport. The addition of Eataly to Terminal 4’s commercial program advances the Port Authority’s goal of creating a world class passenger experience at a new JFK International airport.”
