May 2026 Passenger, Cargo Traffic at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for May 2026 was up 3.32% compared to May 2025, with 1,999,757 passengers flying during the month.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for May 2026 was 1,999,757, up 3.32% compared to May 2025. May 2026 enplanements totaled 1,024,390, up 2.94%.

Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 839,518, up 5.6%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 383,783, up 9.4%; American Airlines passengers totaled 293,280, down 5.1%; United Airlines passengers totaled 257,442, up 11.3%;  Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 59,412, down 4%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 42,697, down 2.7%;  British Airways passengers totaled 28,855, up 11.5%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 20,952, up 156%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 17,863, down 11.6%; Air Canada passengers totaled 15,542, up 6.7%;Lufthansa passengers totaled 9,879, up 4.5%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 8,761, up 3.6%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 6,867, down 1%; Copa Airlines passengers totaled 6,205, up 18.2%; VivaAerobus passengers totaled 4,310, up 23%; WestJet passengers totaled 1,347, down 29.8%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 1,015, down 7.1%; Porter Airines passengers totaled 934; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 642, down 98.3%;Cayman Airways passengers totaled 418; and Chrono Jet passengers totaled 35.

May 2026 air cargo totaled 22,260,630 lbs., down 4.68% compared to May 2025.International air cargo totaled 2,088,034 lbs., down 10.68% compared to May 2025.

Air Transport International carried 7,585,452 lbs., down 23.7%; Federal Express carried 3,996,071 lbs., down 1.5%; Sun Country Airlines carried 3,250,882 lbs., up 56.9%; and United Parcel Services carried 2,604,499 lbs., down 1.2%.

Air Services transferred 663 lbs. of mail, up 66,200%; and 3,119,435 lbs. of belly freight, up 1.07%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,896, up 12.89%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 24,124, up 5.89%.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – May 2026 was 8,698,586, up 4.62% compared to January – May 2025. January – May 2026 enplanements totaled 4,361,384, up 4.49%.

January – May 2026 air cargo totaled 112,082,523 lbs., down 0.49% compared to January – May 2025.

International air cargo totaled 12,033,137, down 7.61%.

Air Transport International carried 42,147,135 lbs., down 1.3%; Federal Expresscarried 19,137,807 lbs., down 0.7%; Sun Country Airlines carried 13,896,527 lbs., up 55%; and United Parcel Services carried 12,841,878 lbs., up 2.2%.

Air Services transferred 1,727 lbs. of mail, down 95.43%; and 14,378,486 lbs. of belly freight, down 7.4%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 18,862 for January – May 2026, up 7.12%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 112,863, up 7.27%.
