Miami artists celebrate the World Cup with MIA exhibition

New airport exhibition features  soccer-themed works by 12 local artists

WHAT:         

Twelve Miami artists inspired by the excitement of soccer and the 2026 FIFA World Cup will discuss their artwork featured in Beyond the Pitch: Artists in Their Field – Miami International Airport’s newest exhibition at the Gate D31 Gallery on view through August 10, which celebrates the global influence of the beautiful game.

 

Showcasing a wide range of artistic mediums, from painting, drawing, and mixed‑media collage to assemblage, photography, printmaking, textiles, sculpture, and video art, Beyond the Pitch captures the playful parallels between art and soccer while honoring the rich stories and vibrant culture surrounding the world’s most popular sport.
