Pasco, WA — Alaska Airlines officially launched new nonstop service between Tri-Cities Airport (PSC) and Portland International Airport (PDX) today, restoring a long-requested connection for travelers in the Tri-Cities region. The twice-daily service marks the return of nonstop flights between PSC and Portland for the first time since 2018 and further strengthens the airport’s growing connectivity throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Community members, airport officials, and airline representatives gathered at PSC this afternoon to celebrate the inaugural departure with commemorative giveaways for passengers, including insulated grocery bags, Portland-themed popcorn and caramels, inaugural flight water bottles, and Fly PSC hats.
“We’re thrilled to finally welcome Portland service back to the Tri-Cities,” said Hans Engelke, Port of Pasco Commissioner. “This has consistently been one of our community’s most-requested routes, and we want them to know that we heard them. Today’s inaugural flight represents years of partnership and effort to reconnect the Tri-Cities directly to PDX and the broader Alaska Airlines network.”
“The Tri-Cities and Portland have a long history of connecting through air travel and this new flight will not only renew this missing link, but open more destinations with connections through Seattle and Portland,” shared Karl Dye, President & CEO of TRIDEC. “Portland has been at the top of our list for direct flights for a long time. We have many businesses and government agencies that will be able to schedule meetings in either community and be home the same day.”
The route operates twice daily aboard a three-class Embraer 175 aircraft with 76 seats. The schedule allows travelers convenient same-day access between the Tri-Cities and Portland while also opening additional connections throughout Alaska Airlines’ network.
Per Alaska Airlines, the flight schedule is:
| Flight Number | Departure Airport | Departure Time | Arrival Airport | Arrival Time |
| AS 3109 | PSC | 5:23 a.m. | PDX | 6:18 a.m. |
| AS 2475 | PDX | 2:31 p.m. | PSC | 3:22 p.m. |
| AS 2471 | PSC | 3:59 p.m. | PDX | 4:50 p.m. |
| AS 3066 | PDX | 9:50 p.m. | PSC | 10:44 p.m. |
The launch continues a period of strong growth for PSC. In 2025 and 2026, the airport added or enhanced service on multiple routes, including new service to Orange County, California (SNA), as well as expanded service from airline partners to Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP), Salt Lake City (SLC), and Denver (DEN).
Alaska Airlines now serves three nonstop destinations from PSC: Seattle (SEA), Los Angeles (LAX), and Portland (PDX). Tickets for the three nonstop flights are available now at AlaskaAir.com.
