Fall escapes to Sonoma County Wine Country are arriving sooner than ever from Palm Springs International Airport (PSP).

Alaska Airlines will launch its seasonal nonstop service between Palm Springs and Santa Rosa’s Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport (STS) on September 10, more than six weeks earlier than last year. The route previously began in late October

The earlier start reflects the success of the service during its inaugural season and gives Southern California travelers even more opportunities to experience Sonoma County’s scenic vineyards and charming towns during one of the region’s most beautiful seasons. Beyond Wine Country, the region also serves as a gateway to the rugged Sonoma Coast, towering redwood forests and countless outdoor adventures.

The seasonal route will operate five days a week, daily except Tuesdays and Wednesdays, through April 25, 2027, aboard Alaska Airlines’ 76-seat Embraer 175 aircraft, making it easy to plan weekend getaways and extended visits to Sonoma County Wine Country.

“Our travelers have embraced this route, and we’re thrilled to see Alaska Airlines bring it back even earlier this year,” said Victoria Carpenter, Interim Executive Director at Palm Springs International Airport. “As we continue working with our airline partners to expand seasonal and year-round service, our goal remains simple: give our travelers more choices and more convenience from their hometown airport.”

The earlier return of Santa Rosa service reflects a broader trend at PSP, where airline partners are extending seasonal service beyond the traditional winter travel season. This fall, travelers will also enjoy earlier nonstop service to Houston, Boise, Minneapolis, and Austin, creating even more opportunities to travel throughout the year.
