Rod Hall

His law practice focuses on transportation and infrastructure issues. Prior to joining the firm, Hall was appointed to serve as the head of legislative affairs for the Federal Aviation Administration in 2009. For five years, Hall served as the principal adviser to two FAA administrators on matters concerning Congress, aviation industry groups and other governmental organizations.

Hall also served as the chairman of the Manassas Regional Airport Commission, chairman of the Virginia Aviation Board, the board of the Stafford, Virginia, Regional Airport Authority and the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority.

Hall holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in political science, both from Dillard University.

The Airports Authority’s 17-member board is comprised of seven appointees by the governor of Virginia; four by the mayor of Washington, D.C.; three by the governor of Maryland and three by the president of the United States.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority operates the U.S. Capital Region’s gateways to the nation and the world, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport, the Dulles Airport Access Highway and the Dulles Toll Road. The Authority also managed construction of the Silver Line, a 23-mile extension of the Washington region’s Metrorail public transit system through northern Virginia, which began service to Dulles International in 2022.
