San Bernardino, Calif. (May 19, 2026) – Inland Empire locals and visitors choose San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) for easy and affordable nonstop flights on Breeze Airways to San Francisco International Airport and Provo Airport—gateways to the San Francisco Bay Area and the Provo, Greater Salt Lake area, respectively. In time for Memorial Day weekend and summer travel, SBD is sharing travel tips and announcing new in-terminal amenities, which are giving passengers more reasons to make SBD their airport of choice.

Useful Travel Tips
SBD’s first priority is getting travelers to their boarding gate on time. With more people traveling during summer, passengers are asked to consider these tips for packing and ground transportation planning:

  • Arrive to the terminal at least one hour before flight departure time. TSA typically stops allowing “checked-bags” that are dropped off at the ticket counter 45-minutes before departure. This restriction does not apply to carry-on bags.
  • Self-parking at SBD is always just $5.00 a day. The parking lot with canopy shades is located directly across from the terminal and has electric-vehicle chargers offered first-come, first served.

Top-Notch Amenities
Passengers are enjoying these amenities—located next to SBD’s departure gates—that are making travel a breeze with infants and pets.

  • FlyBaby Infant Care Suites offer a quiet, comfortable, private environment with a lockable door, reclining chair with side table, electrical outlets, a sink and mirror, and baby changing table. The FlyBaby rooms are available at no cost to nursing mothers and are accessible through the Mamava app, which is available for download to mobile devices.
  • The Pet Relief Area provides a comfortable and accessible area for travelers with pets and service animals. With pet-friendly flooring, waste disposal stations, and clear signage for easy wayfinding and access, it allows passengers to care for their animals without leaving the terminal. While booking Breeze Airways’ flights, travelers are asked to check the airline’s website for information about traveling with pets.

Energizing Concessions
In addition to free and fast Wi-Fi, SBD offers food and beverage concessions, both pre- and post-security, to refuel travelers on their journey.

  • Leland’s Coffee, located in the ticketing lobby, is the perfect place for early arriving travelers craving an energizing beverage or snack. Sit and sip for a while before heading through passenger security screening.
  • The Tarmac Lounge is the post-security spot for a light bite, refreshing drink, and sweet treat while waiting for flight boarding and to grab an extra snack for the trip ahead.

The SBD team welcomes new and returning passengers traveling through SBD to San Francisco or Provo this summer.  There’s so much to enjoy when beginning and ending your journey at SBD. Learn about and book travel at FlySBD.com.
