Featuring cage-free eggs, artisan pastries, locally roasted coffee and quality ingredients, it combines vintage Americana with contemporary style. Guests enjoy customizable, authentic breakfast favorites that deliver a distinctive sense of place from morning to night. Menu highlights include The Chick & Waffle – crispy fried chicken with a runny cage-free egg and maple aioli on a house-made waffle, Breakfast Grilled Cheese – smoked ham, fried cage-free egg and Swiss on toasted sourdough and the B.L.T.P Sandwich – crispy bacon, lettuce and tomato with pimento cheese and a fried egg on a brioche.
The 135-seat restaurant features bright and bold décor, from sunny-side up yellow chairs to the black and white tile floor and mural of San José, the inviting and spacious restaurant features a large bar area serving made-to-order specialty cocktails.
The grab-and-go area, adjacent to the bar, provides delicious options – like breakfast sandwiches, coffees and pastries – to take on the fly.
“A great airport reflects the community it serves,” said San José City Manager Jennifer Maguire. “By continuing to expand the dining experience at SJC, we’re creating a more welcoming gateway for residents, business travelers, and visitors while showcasing the quality and hospitality that define San José.”
“We’re always looking for ways to elevate the passenger experience,” said SJC director of aviation Mookie Patel. “Whether travelers have time to enjoy a freshly prepared meal or simply need a quick bite before boarding, Asian Box and Bad Egg Breakfast Bar provide two outstanding new options that complement the growing mix of dining experiences available at SJC.”
