Beloved Fresno restaurant brings authentic Mexican cuisine, a full-service bar, and panadería offerings to FAT’s new Concourse B

(Fresno, California — Thursday 23rd April, 2026) — SSP America, a division of SSP Group, a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide, today announced the opening of Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant and Mezcal Bar at Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT), bringing a beloved local favorite to the airport’s new Concourse B.

Now open in the shops and dining area of the new concourse, Los Amigos introduces travelers to one of Fresno’s most established local restaurant brands, known for serving authentic Mexican cuisine for more than 30 years. The new airport location marks an exciting milestone both for the restaurant and for FAT, as the airport continues its ambitious FATForward transformation — a $150 million terminal expansion project designed to elevate the passenger experience and support future growth.

“The opening of Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant in the new Concourse B brings an exciting and welcoming vibe for passengers traveling through Fresno Yosemite International Airport,” said City of Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer. “A staple in our community for decades, Los Amigos represents the rich culinary heritage of our region. We are excited for the enhanced dining experience travelers will enjoy. As our airport continues to grow, we remain focused on creating a memorable experience for our passengers by offering more dining options that showcase the great flavors our region has to offer.”

As the final new restaurant delivered by SSP America at FAT in this phase of the airport’s development, Los Amigos represents both a milestone for the concessions program and a meaningful addition to the passenger experience. The broader expansion includes a second upper-level passenger concourse, additional gates for domestic and international flights, an enlarged security screening checkpoint, upgraded baggage inspection technology, and a larger arrivals and customs inspection area for international travelers.

“We are excited to offer Fresno Yosemite International Airport travelers our food tradition through every dish,” said Ricardo Flores, owner of Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant. “Mexican food is not just a cuisine, it’s a culture.”

Located in a nearly 2,000-square-foot space, Los Amigos brings bold color, vibrant energy, and a festive mariachi and baile folklórico theme to the terminal. In addition to seated dining, the concept includes a full-service bar featuring margaritas, mezcal-forward cocktails, beer, wine, and other specialty beverages, along with a panadería serving coffee, fresh-baked pastries, and grab-and-go items for passengers on the move.

The menu reflects the character and generosity of the original Fresno restaurant, offering travelers a lively mix of authentic Mexican favorites and travel-friendly options. Guests can enjoy dishes such as chilaquiles, huevos con chorizo, breakfast burritos, tacos, tortas, enchiladas Mexicanas, carnitas, carne asada, burritos, tortilla soup, and pan dulce, alongside a beverage menu featuring house margaritas, palomas, cantaritos, micheladas, and a selection of mezcal and tequila-based cocktails.

“Fresno Yosemite International Airport extends its sincere gratitude to the Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation for their invaluable support in identifying authentic and traditional Mexican cuisine concepts ideally suited for FAT,” said Interim Director of Aviation Francisco Partida. “As the Airport continues to experience sustained passenger growth, this collaboration alongside our partnership with SSP America on the concessions program reinforces our commitment to meeting evolving passenger needs by expanding and enhancing diverse food and beverage offerings.”

Scott Welding, Senior Vice President, Development and Pursuit of New Airports, SSP America, said: “Los Amigos gives this new concourse something instantly meaningful — the flavor, color, and spirit of a restaurant Fresno already knows and loves. This opening gives travelers a true taste of Fresno through authentic Mexican cuisine, warm hospitality, and a vibrant sense of place. We’re grateful to Fresno Yosemite International Airport, the Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation, and the Los Amigos team for helping bring this exciting new experience to life in Concourse B.”

For SSP America, the opening reflects a continued commitment to building airport dining programs that are rooted in place, commercially strong, and responsive to what travelers actually want. At FAT, Los Amigos adds a new layer of local identity to the concessions program while helping ensure the airport’s growth is matched by a richer, more welcoming passenger experience.
