At 2 p.m. tomorrow, Sept. 11, 2026, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will host an interfaith remembrance service at St. Peter’s Church in Lower Manhattan to honor the 84 Port Authority employees who were lost in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, and those who perished in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. The agency’s service will follow the 9/11 Memorial and Museum commemoration ceremony on the 9/11 Memorial Plaza, which concludes at 1 p.m. A livestream of that ceremony will be available in its entirety at 911memorial.org.

Additionally, to honor the lives lost, the agency will display the world’s largest free-flying flag on the George Washington Bridge from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Port Authority police and staff will hold two moments of silence at the Sept. 11 memorial inside the Midtown Bus Terminal at 8:46 a.m. and 9:03 a.m., marking the moment each tower was struck.
