Robby’s Tractor Trailer Service joins as Presenting Sponsor as popular airport event returns in support of United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo
Fort McMurray, AB – Get those costumes ready! YMM Pumpkins & Planes is returning to Fort McMurray International Airport (YMM), with more Halloween fun planned throughout the terminal and Robby’s Tractor Trailer Service joining the celebration as Presenting Sponsor.
The popular annual event transforms all three levels of YMM into a family friendly Halloween experience, inviting children to explore their airport while collecting treats and enjoying Halloween themed games, activities and prizes along the way, all in support of United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo.
Families can also enjoy Halloween family photos by donation, a costume contest at the end of every one-hour timeslot and a few surprises along the way. DJ and Emcee Mike Jones will keep the Halloween energy going throughout the event.
“YMM is an important part of this community, and our role extends well beyond connecting travellers to their next destination,” said Denean Robinson, President & CEO, Fort McMurray Airport Authority (FMAA). “We love opening our doors and welcoming the community to experience their airport in new ways, from our Community Aviation Event in August to families returning for Pumpkins & Planes this fall. These events create lasting memories, help children feel at home in their local airport and give us another opportunity to support causes that matter to our region. We’re thrilled to have Robby’s, one of our airport campus partners, join us as Presenting Sponsor and help make this year’s celebration even more special for local families.”
Pumpkins & Planes Passports are $5 plus service fee, with all funds raised directly supporting United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo. Tickets are required for participating children, while accompanying parents and guardians can attend without a ticket. Free parking validation will also be available.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) will also be on site offering influenza immunizations, giving attendees a convenient opportunity to receive their seasonal flu shot while helping keep the community healthy.
The event will once again include a limited capacity Sensory Friendly Timeslot from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., offering a calmer, quieter experience with reduced noise and additional space for families who may benefit from a more sensory friendly environment.

Families are asked to arrive during the one-hour timeslot indicated on their ticket. Space is limited, and with Pumpkins & Planes selling out each year, early registration is encouraged.
All funds raised through Pumpkins & Planes will support United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo, making every Passport part of something bigger than a great afternoon of Halloween fun at YMM.
