The HOBART 2400 Power Coil works perfectly well with all sizes of bridges and all types of aircraft. Compared to traditional solutions, this easy link between the mains supply and the aircraft plug takes up 40% less place. It comes in one single enclosure, fully tested from the factory and ready to be mounted underneath the Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB). The Power Coil leaves the bridge and the apron nice, neat and pleasant to look at. Especially when glass PBBs is the preferred solution, the aesthetic aspect is very important, says Vice President, Sales & Marketing Mr. Poul Elvstrøem.
The designation of “…400” signifies that the Power Coil unit is built on ITW GSE’s common design platform which, among other, includes the ITW GSE icon based User Interface that is just as easy and intuitive to use as your smart phone or tablet. Since the User Interface is common to all ITW GSE’s “…400” product lines, airport staff who are already familiar with one ITW GSE product, can easily operate another as the icons and the display are the same. Another feature that customer’s do appreciate very much, is the software-based control system that enables updates and additional capabilities to be implemented via a USB key.
INNOVATIVE SOLUTION, BASED ON EXPERIENCE
The HOBART 2400 Power Coil offers a highly reliable and robust design including a front plate in stainless steel. The improved cable guidance system ensures easy and smooth cable handling. As a standard, the Power Coil comes with 24 m of cable (useable length). However, the spacious housing can store up to 28 m cable. After use, the cable is rolled completely into the housing and leaves the apron free and the cable protected.
