Horton Automatics new Secure Exit Lane greatly enhances security at the exit from the
sterile zone to the unsecured area of your airport, reducing the need to man the exit
Corpus Christi, TX October 2019 – The Horton Secure Exit Lane (SEL) was recently installed at
CCIA. They enhanced security by replacing sliding doors with the Horton SEL, adding security that is
only provided by the sophisticated technology of this state-of-the-art breach control system. Security
is at the top of our list of priorities here at CCIA. This new technology helps ensure the safety of our
customers, tenants and the public in general.” Fred Segundo - Director of Aviation CCIA.
Scenario: Passengers deplane and exit the secure area toward baggage claim. The SEL’s inviting
green lights intuitively guide them to exit the secured area. By then, the SEL’s light curtains have
already verified that objects were not left in the lane by people from the non-secure side or by
previous passengers. The SEL senses the approaching passengers to greet them with opening
doors. Once they are past the first set of doors the SEL uses a Time-Of-Flight (TOF) infrared sensor
technology to create a 3-D image of each person and assure everyone in the lane is traveling the
right direction… out. As passengers walk or wheel (accommodates wheelchairs) toward the other
end, another TOF sensor, in combination with presence sensors, first determines if someone is too
close on the unsecure side. If not, the SEL gives the green light and automatically opens the second
set of swing doors. All this happens without causing the passengers to break stride.

PAVIX: Proven Winner for All Airport Concrete Infrastructure
International Chem-Crete Corporation (ICC) manufactures and sells PAVIX, a unique line of crystalline waterproofing products that penetrate into the surface of cured concrete to fill and seal pores and capillary voids, creating a long lasting protective zone within the concrete substrate.
Once concrete is treated, water is prevented from penetrating through this protective zone and causing associated damage, such as freeze-thaw cracking, reinforcing steel corrosion, chloride ion penetration, and ASR related cracking.
This white paper discusses how the PAVIX CCC100 technology works and its applications.
