United States of America, August 1, 2018. The Orlando airport dressed up to inaugurate new direct routes to three destinations in Latin America. As of today, August 1, Avianca includes Guatemala, and Lima, Peru, as new direct destinations from Orlando. The airline will also begin operating a new direct service to El Salvador.
Passengers who traveled in the inaugural flights to these destinations were received with coffee and sandwich stands, as well as typical dances from Peru, as a preview of the experience they would have on Peruvian soil with the Inca culture.
Before boarding, the airline held an inaugural act for the new flight, with the attendance of the Airport Director for North America, Mauricio Cordero, administration officials from the airport, Orlando press and of course, passengers traveling on this inaugural flight to Lima, Peru, who participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony.
The Orlando – Guatemala route will begin operations with three weekly frequencies on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and from Guatemala on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; all routes will be serviced by A319 aircraft with capacity for 120 passengers, 12 in Business Class and 108 in Economy Class.
The route to El Salvador will initially have four weekly frequencies on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, and from this Central American destination on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday; and one daily flight from Lima Peru, all serviced by A319 aircraft with capacity for 120 passengers, 12 in Business Class and 108 in Economy Class.
These flights also offer connectivity for passengers traveling to and from Ciudad de Guatemala, Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula, San José, Managua, Ciudad de Panamá, Quito and Guayaquil, as well as to or from main capital cities of the southern continent, such as Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro or Porto Alegre in Brazil, among others, providing travelers an attractive option for their business or leisure trips with greater connectivity benefits and better schedules.
“With these three new routes from Orlando, Avianca increases its direct destinations from one to four, which translates into an opportunity to strengthen tourism and business between these iconic US destinations and the airline’s three connection centers, El Salvador, Lima and Bogota, efficiently connecting the cities in Guatemala and San Jose, Costa Rica”, said Mauricio Cordero, Avianca’s Airport Director for North America.
“Central Florida’s appeal as a global destination continues to grow as we welcome Avianca’s newest service to Peru, El Salvador and Guatemala,” says Phil Brown, Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “We applaud Avianca’s vision to establish further economic and cultural connections between Orlando and these desirable destinations.”

PAVIX: Proven Winner for All Airport Concrete Infrastructure
International Chem-Crete Corporation (ICC) manufactures and sells PAVIX, a unique line of crystalline waterproofing products that penetrate into the surface of cured concrete to fill and seal pores and capillary voids, creating a long lasting protective zone within the concrete substrate.
Once concrete is treated, water is prevented from penetrating through this protective zone and causing associated damage, such as freeze-thaw cracking, reinforcing steel corrosion, chloride ion penetration, and ASR related cracking.
This white paper discusses how the PAVIX CCC100 technology works and its applications.
