The Port of Oakland is soliciting bids for Non-Exclusive Rental Car Concession, to be delivered to the Airport Properties Department, (Attention: Mark Bryant), at 9532 Earhart Road, Oakland, CA 94621, until 2:00 p.m. on April 4, 2017.
The Port has scheduled a Mandatory Pre-Bidder’s Conference on February 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at 9532 Earhart Road (1st Floor Conference Room), Oakland, CA 94621. All interested parties must attend this Mandatory Pre-Bidder’s Conference.
The purpose of this RFB is to select qualified bidders to award concession opportunities for the non-exclusive, on-airport rental car operations at the Rental Car Center at Oakland International Airport in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Space Use Permit that is a part of the RFB package. Bidders must have: i) at least five (5) years of continuous experience in the management and operation of rental car concessions at municipal and international airports, ii) the financial resources and access to capital ($20 million dollars minimum) to sustain operations of this concession as more fully detailed in the RFB, iii) the capacity to operate a national reservation system with exclusive brand name representation, iv) not be in default of any of the terms and conditions of any pre-existing relationship with the Port (applicable for incumbent bidders), to be considered a responsive bidder.
