DULUTH, Georgia (April 29, 2016) – Tulsa International Airport in Tulsa County, Okla., now features an upgraded Multi-User Flight Information Display System from Infax.
Using monitors from previous flight information displays, Tulsa International and Infax employees installed 56 display computers equipped with Infax’s WinFIDS 7.0 and Engage 3.0 software solutions.
The project was a quick turnaround: The entire installation was started and fully completed in January 2016.
"In order to accommodate our contract schedules, Infax really stepped up and was able to implement the new FIDS system in about three weeks," said James Rockholt, information technology director at Tulsa International. "Even with a quick implementation, the quality was still there as we have received a number of compliments about the system. Infax did an amazing job."
Tulsa International’s base system includes arrival and departure displays, baggage information displays, ticket counter displays and a touchscreen information booth that allows users to flip between arrival and departure pages. The airport also chose to add optional gate information displays, a five-day weather forecast and a real-time weather map.
In addition to installing WinFIDS, which integrates with any airline interface to display real-time flight information, the airport also installed Engage, Infax’s content-creating software. With Engage, airports can display facility maps, advertisements, videos, directories and more.
