CHARLESTON, WV (Date) – April 19, 2022, marks the opening of the new U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) General Aviation Facility (GAF) at West Virginia International Yeager Airport (KCRW). KCRW is the only international port of entry in the state of West Virginia. As a result, international aircraft operators now have the ability to land directly at KCRW to quickly clear CBP.
West Virginia International Yeager Airport offers little to no wait times for international clearance and no taxiway traffic or air traffic congestion. With prior arrangements, the facility is accessible around the clock. Upon clearing U.S. Customs and Border Protection, visitors will find a seamless connection to the first-class amenities and concierge services Capital Jet Center, our Airport operated FBO, provides.
“We look forward to welcoming international visitors to our airport,” said West Virginia International Yeager Airport Director and CEO, Nick Keller. “With an easy to navigate facility, premium service and lower fuel prices, aircraft operators will be pleased they selected KCRW as their arrival airport.”
Area Port Director Mark J. Laria applauded the efforts of CBP's external stakeholders during the lengthy construction project. "We are very appreciative of the support we've received from our partners throughout the planning and construction of this facility."

Fairbanks International Airport Baggage Transport Conveyor Enhanced With Mod Drive™ System
Airports face a host of unique industry challenges, such as meeting efficiency regulations and seeking out the best maintenance practices to reduce costs and keep operations flowing. In today’s current economic climate, any potential cost savings can go a long way.
In 2019, Alaska’s Fairbanks International Airport (FAI) sought to modernize its equipment and operations. They were dissatisfied with the performance of the gearmotors on their baggage transport conveyors and began searching for new suppliers. Regal approached FAI with a solution that could improve equipment performance and simplify maintenance, with the added benefit of energy cost savings: the Hub City® MOD Drive™ system.
