CHICAGO, May 19, 2017 - Today, Volaris started a new route between Chicago Midway International Airport and Queretaro Intercontinental Airport with twice-weekly service. This is the Mexico-based ultra-low-cost carrier's first nonstop service from Queretaro.
"This new service from Queretaro is great news for Chicago and passengers at Midway International Airport," said Ginger S. Evans, Commissioner, Chicago Department of Aviation. "New international flights increase business and tourism opportunities. This route from Volaris will expand nonstop air connections between Chicago and Mexico."
The service will operate on Fridays and Saturdays. The flight from Chicago will depart at 12:20 p.m. and arrive in Queretaro at 4:42 p.m. The flight from Queretaro departs at 5:27 p.m. and arrives in Chicago at 9:10 p.m.
Volaris operates at both O'Hare and Midway International Airports, and now offers nonstop service from Chicago to eight destinations in Mexico with the addition of service to Queretaro. The airline started service in Chicago at Midway in 2010 with daily service to Guadalajara.
Volaris flies to more than 60 cities in Mexico and the United States with more than 200 daily flights.
