NEW YORK, NY – The Port Authority of New York/New Jersey has named Rebecca Waterman, C.M. Deputy Aviation Commercial Officer. In this position, Ms. Waterman will assist the Aviation Commercial Management Unit in managing the Port Authority’s airport commercial portfolio. She will collaborate with the management teams at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), Stewart International Airport (SWF), and Teterboro Airport (TEB) airports, overseeing the respective airport Properties & Commercial Development units and providing guidance in the development and implementation of lease negotiation strategies. She began her new position on October 11, 2023.
Ms. Waterman brings important relevant professional experience, including 6 years at Hillsborough County Aviation Authority in Tampa, FL, most recently as Director, Airline Properties and Contracts with responsibilities in management of contracts and relationships with airlines, ground handlers, and other business stakeholders. She also has 10 years of experience as an attorney reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts and as a litigator.

Ms. Waterman earned her bachelor’s degree in English and History from Bowdoin College. She went on to receive her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Roger Williams University School of Law. She also earned her master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Delaware. Ms. Waterman is a Certified Member (C.M.) of the American Association of Airport Executives.
