Director of Human Resources Heather Fuqua, Director of Planning and Engineering Kyle Hartlage welcomed to organization
Louisville, KY (January 23, 2023) – Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, announced two additions to the organization’s leadership team. Heather Fuqua has been named Director of Human Resources and Kyle Hartlage has been named Director of Planning and Engineering.
“The expertise that both Heather and Kyle bring to the Airport Authority is a win for us,” added Mann. “As we continue moving towards the future, I’ve always felt it’s crucial we have the best team in place to take us there. With the addition of these two professionals, I’m confident they will be assets to the organization and we welcome them to the team.”
As the Director of Human Resources, Fuqua is responsible for defining, developing and directing strategic initiatives for talent management and recruitment, compensation, compliance and employee relations. With more than 15 years experience in the field, Fuqua most recently served as Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Cushman & Wakefield. Previously, she also held leadership roles at MKSK, Inc., DONAN – Forensic Engineer, Fire and HVAC Investigations and Spencerian College.
Fuqua earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Campbellsville University and holds a Certificate of Professional in Human Resources from Human Resources Standards Institute (PHR – HRCI).
Hartlage serves as the Director of Planning and Engineering, which oversees planning, engineering and construction programs for capital projects and major maintenance initiatives for both Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) and Bowman Field (LOU). Hartlage brings with him a familiarity of both airports from serving the Airport Authority as an engineering consultant with Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLC, Stantec Consulting Services Inc and HNTB Corporation. Additionally, he has served as an engineer for Louisville Metro Public Works.
Hartlage earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Louisville and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Throughout 2022, while recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued our efforts to have a positive impact on the Charlotte community.
