The Club Buffalo Niagara International Airport offers guests an array of experiences in an environment built for the modern traveler.
Plano, TX – September 23, 2019 – Airport Dimensions, previously known as Airport Lounge Development, an award-winning market leader of premium shared-use lounges, today announced their latest opening with a new lounge at Buffalo Niagara International Airport. Mirroring the environment of the region it serves, The Club offers a space of respite for all guests, regardless of whether they are traveling for business or pleasure. The over 2,800 square-foot space is the 20th global shared-use lounge operated by Airport Dimensions for The Club and Club Aspire networks. Airport visitors can access the lounge beginning on Tuesday, September 24 at 4:00 a.m.
“Coming off the heels of our rebrand to Airport Dimensions, the opening of The Club Buffalo Niagara International Airport reflects our continued commitment to expanding our global shared-use lounge offerings,” said Nancy Knipp, senior vice president at Airport Dimensions. “We are delighted to provide all Buffalo Niagara International Airport travelers with a premium lounge experience.”
The Club is located on the concourse level, just steps away from TSA. As guests enter, they will be greeted by a translucent wall that captures the cultural and historic character of the region with an image of Niagara Falls. The wall will serve as the lounge’s focal point, along with photography throughout The Club highlighting the beauty of the Western New York region. All of these amazing images are from award-winning local photographer, Joe Cascio. Joe’s images have been featured both locally and internationally, ranging from architecture to major events. Other highlights of his career include working for the White House, Condé Nast Publishers, ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition and traveling with The Stanley Cup.
Guests of The Club will be able to sample unique food options from local chef and owner, Nick Pitillo of Osteria 166. Fusing century-old family recipes, carried on by his 82-year-old mother, and lessons learned from extensive research in Italy, Pitillo’s winning formula focuses on the simple beauty of Rustic Italian Food. From Nani’s Hand Made ravioli and award-winning meatballs, to hand-crafted pastas created by his team of chefs, Pitillo looks to make quality ingredients shine.
The Club offers guests an all-inclusive hospitality experience through five distinct areas including:
“We are excited to welcome Airport Dimensions’ The Club shared-use lounge to our award-winning airport,” said Kim Minkel, executive director, NFTA. “The addition of The Club at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport exemplifies our efforts to provide our travelers with first-class amenities that will enhance their overall travel experience.”
Giving Back to the Environment and Community
The Club gives back to the Buffalo/Niagara region through the lounge’s 100% plastic-less service with the removal of all plastic drink stirrers and straws, replacing them with natural bamboo and compostable options. With the use of the Vivreau Tap this has reduced the amount of single-use plastics from The Clubs, resulting in over 2.5 million less plastic bottles in the landfills. The Club’s wine offering will be its “Pours with a Purpose” program. The Club’s consciously curated menu of wines is dedicated to more than just tasting good, but doing good as well. A portion of all wine purchases at The Club is donated to a variety of charities that help fight hunger in the U.S., support U.S. veterans’ initiatives and raise funds to support ovarian cancer screening.
The Club Buffalo Niagara International Airport joins Airport Dimensions’ rapidly growing network of shared-use lounge offerings, with new openings across the U.S. planned through the end of 2019 and into early 2020:

Fairbanks International Airport Baggage Transport Conveyor Enhanced With Mod Drive™ System
Airports face a host of unique industry challenges, such as meeting efficiency regulations and seeking out the best maintenance practices to reduce costs and keep operations flowing. In today’s current economic climate, any potential cost savings can go a long way.
In 2019, Alaska’s Fairbanks International Airport (FAI) sought to modernize its equipment and operations. They were dissatisfied with the performance of the gearmotors on their baggage transport conveyors and began searching for new suppliers. Regal approached FAI with a solution that could improve equipment performance and simplify maintenance, with the added benefit of energy cost savings: the Hub City® MOD Drive™ system.
